Christ Church Principal Carl Laurie said: "I have asked for a re-examination for these kids. A sport is very important for the growth of the child and it is the best remedy to keep children away from distractions. It can also be pursued as a career option."
Christ Church lost the U-14 District Sports Office (DSO) final 1-0 to Don Bosco (Matunga) at Naigaon Police Ground, Dadar and drew the Mumbai Schools Sports Association league's U-14 Div I tie 1-1 with St Mary's ICSE (Byculla) at Azad Maidan.
Christ Church coach Nilesh Rao explained the team's failure to win either of the games. "The kids have had a hard time with two back-to-back matches. They played the DSO final in the morning at 10.30 and then the MSSA game at 2pm. The travelling also took a toll on them. But I'm really glad that the principal has rescheduled their exam," Rao told MiD DAY.
