Christ Church, Byculla's bad form continued as they were bowled out for 22 against Rizvi Springfield, Bandra in the elite division of U-14 Giles Shield inter-school cricket tournament yesterday. Christ Church were bundled out for 15 in their last game against IES Raja Shivaji, Dadar.
None of their batsmen could find their way into double figures as Rizvi bowlers Asif Shaikh and Sidak Singh shared nine wickets among each other. Christ Church coach Naved avoided talking about his side's thrashing.
"I'm not authorised to speak on phone about my team's performance," he said.
Rizvi coach Raju Pathak felt that losing core players might be one of the reasons for Christ Church's slump.
"The good players who helped them qualify for the elite division may have crossed the age limit," he said.
