City to host Asian Rugby Sevens Round 3

Hosts India are in Pool E with Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan in the third and final leg of the HSBC Asian Rugby Sevens, to be held at the Bombay Gymkhana grounds on October 12-13.


Currently Japan are leading the table with 24 points, followed by South Korea, Sri Lanka and last year's champions Hong Kong. These four teams are seeded and placed in Pool A, B, C and D respectively.

The other teams in the competition are Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Chinese Taipei, Singapore, China and UAE. The two top teams in the three-leg series would gain automatic entry to a qualification tournament for the Sevens World Series to be held in Hong Kong in March 2014. u00a0
