US Open champion Kim Clijsters reached the final of the WTA Championships here on Saturday despite being involved in a "scary" car crash on the way to the Khalifa stadium.
Clijsters scored an ultimately impressive 7-6 (3), 6-1 win over Australia's Samantha Stosur, though she slipped to an early 0-3 deficit after her car was struck heavily en route between her hotel and the venue.
