All stadiums at the World Cup are strictlyu00a0 'no smoking' venues. Announcements to this effect are made at each and every game.
Try telling Diego Maradona that. At a recent press conference, the Argentine legend walked in with a Cuban cigar and took a long final puff before exhaling to fill the room with the acrid smell.
As he passed his cigar to a member of his entourage, no FIFA official dared to tell him that smoking was prohibited.
The manager who is unquestionably the biggest figure in the 2010 World Cup dugouts, never sits still on the bench. He stalks the touchline all match long, goading his players on.
"I still feel like putting on the jersey and going on the pitch," Maradona said at a recent press conference.
Clearly, Diego lives every pass, kick and tackle as his team do its business on the pitch.
