The former England skipper was in the royal box when he effortlessly caught a ball that flew off Murray's racquet before casually throwing it back. Nonetheless, the swift action of the football superstar triggered a huge cheer amid the crowd who applauded enthusiastically.
The 40-year-old soaked up the adulation by smiling and later raising his arm to acknowledge the cheers.
The result of the match is a different story but the dishy football superstar definitely stole some hearts with his 'handball'.
