Both teams were neck-to-neck from the start, but it was the hosts that ended the first half with a 16-15 lead. In the second half, Jaipur showed more aggression in the raids, but it wasn't enough as they lost the match narrowly by one point.
Two minutes before time, the Mumbai side had a 28-26 advantage, but a failed raid from U Mumba captain Anup Kumar saw him getting out. It was Jeeva Kumar's defensive excellence in the last minute that saved the match for the hosts.
Jeeva was adjudged the Best Defender of the Match. Meanwhile in the second game, Bengaluru Bulls beat Bengal Warriors 33-25.
