Don Bosco finish inter-school basketball season on a high with third u-11 titleDON Bosco 'A' (Matunga) finished off their inter-school basketball season in fine fashion by winning their third consecutive under-11 basketball title. They defeated St Joseph's (Wadala) 24-22 in the final of the Nike-MSSA tournament yesterday. This was achieved mainly due to the efforts of two consistent playersu00a0-- captain Tushar Havannavar (11) and Trishul Kosambi (10). They were the top-scorers in the final with 10 points each with Trishul being one of the leading scorers in the tournament.
"We wanted to win this tournament at all cost because our 'B' team was knocked out very early in the tournament. We played with great intent and are delighted," they said.
"There was a lot of pressure on us as we were the defending champions but I was confident of my boys. I told my boys to get the defense right which helped our cause in the end. I am thrilled," said Don Bosco coach Mecky Lobo.
