Canada tennis ace says she doesn't want to wish her Romanian counterpart luck ahead of Fed Cup clash

She did it last year to Slovakia's Kristina Kucova in Quebec City and repeated it against Romania's Alexandra Dulgheru in Montreal on Friday.

Canada's tennis ace Eugenie Bouchard politely declined to shake the hand of Romanian Dulgheru at the official draw for the Canada vs Romania Fed Cup tie in her home
country.
The incident left the veteran Romanian rather embarrassed with her hand hanging out in the air before she retracted it with a shy smile.
The 21-year-old Canadian has attracted a fair share of controversy when declined the invitation to play in the February Fed Cup tie against the Czechs in Quebec City.

The 2014 Wimbledon finalist's on-court form has also seen critics hound her for her inconsistency. However, her no handshake policy is quite consistent though.
Bouchard justified her act saying: "It's nothing personal towards her. I just don't believe in wishing my opponent good luck before the match. But after we play tomorrow, I will shake her hand, you know, no matter what happens," Bouchard told Romanian television.
Dulgheru meanwhile, said that though she did not take the Bouchard's actions personally, she did think it was "weird," and felt that had the Canadian not wanted to shake her hand, she could have have given them a little warning in advance.
The non handshake policy was not a team decision as Canada's Françoise Abanda did shake hands with her Saturday opponent Irina-Camelia Begu.
