Speaking from Spa, where the Belgium GP will be held this weekend, the Scottish driver said: "I believe that finishing fifth this season (over McLaren) is realistic. We are in a great position to do so. In fact, we have been in a great position to do so all season."
While the Spa circuit has been a happy hunting ground for Force India, with the team having finished among points in four out of the five times they have raced here, Di Resta has struggled in his two races here, winning justu00a0one point.
However, Di Resta, currently in the 10th position on the drivers' standings with 36 points, has been spurred on by the summer break, which he believes could not have come at a better time for Force India.
He said: "The track at Spa is better suited to us than the Hungaroring. But we need to come to grips with the tyres. The break came at the right time. We now have a better understanding of the tyres."u00a0
