Uruguayan Diego Forlan, who bagged the golden ball as the best player of the recently concluded football World Cup
Kolkata: Uruguayan Diego Forlan, who bagged the golden ball as the best player of the recently concluded football World Cup, Saturday rated his goal against Germany in the third-fourth play-off as the best of his five strikes in the big event.
"My best goal in the World Cup is the one I scored against Germany. Every goal I scored was very nice as all of them meant something.
They were all important games. Every time you score, you score for your country," Forlan told a media conference here.
He said he had no regrets for missing out on the golden boot awarded to the best scorer. "I am more happy winning the golden ball.
It acknowledges that you are the best player of the tournament," said the 31-year-old Forlan, who played a stellar role in ensuring a fourth place finish for Uruguay in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
