Trouble started brewing between the two teams with just over an hour into the final day's play.
It is learnt that the players from both teams were involved in sledging which later escalated into a brawl with a few players even uprooting the stumps to cause physical harm.
The warring players were separated by the umpires, but the tension in both camps refused to die down which prompted the umpires to call off the day's play. AG's secretary SM Sharma refused to offer any comment on the issue.
Mumbai Cricket Association's Jt Hon Secretary Dr Unmesh Khanwilkar said: "We have called for an umpire's committee meeting on Dec 7. A detailed report will be submitted by the umpires which will be tabled in the Managing Committee to decide further course of action."
