Novak Djokovic dug deep to reach the semi-finals at Wimbledon with a gritty 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory over Australian qualifier Bernard Tomic yesterday.
Djokovic was well below his best for long periods in a tense quarter-final clash on Court One, but the World No 2 showed all his battling qualities to finally subdue his teenage opponent.
The Serbian second seed, who has now reached five successive Grand Slam semi-finals, will play France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for a place in the final.
Meanwhile, World No 4u00a0 Andy Murray eased into his third successive Wimbledon semi-final with an emphatic 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 victory against Spain's Feliciano Lopez.
Defendingu00a0 champion Rafael Nadal booked his place in the semi-finals overcoming American 10th seed Mardy Fish 6-3, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.
