Paul, born in Weymouth in the south west of England, has led the way with a perfect record of guessing six out of six winners from his aquarium home in Germany. Twice he correctly predicted that his adopted country Germany would lose and twice they did.

He also correctly foretold that the English would not prevail over the Germans. Now, he believes Spain will win the cup while. In the now familiar routine, two boxes were lowered into Paul's tank, each containing a mussel and the flags of the two opposing teams. The tentacled tipster went straight to the Spanish box, opened the lid and gobbled the mussel completely ignoring the Netherlands box.

Meanwhile, emerged from its cage at a store in Singapore's Little India, and picked the card with the Netherlands' flag in it.

Mani has correctly predicted all four winners in the World Cup quarter-finals, local media has reported.u00a0 Just like Paul, Mani too has rapidly gained cult status among gambling-mad football fans in Singapore. Let's wait and watch which animal instinct is right!
