Parupalli Kashyap scored an emphatic 21-15, 21-18 victory over Chetan Anand to win the bronze medal in an all-Indian contest at the Commonwealth Games here yesterday.

But it seemed that the 24-year-old has yet to move on with his horrifying semi-final loss against England's Rajeev Ouseph on Tuesday. "That line call still rankles me and I cannot not sleep in the night," he said yesterday. A wrong umpiring decision dashed P Kashyap's hopes of a maiden Commonwealth Games final.

However, he was happy to defeat compatriot Chetan Anand for the first time in his last four meetings. "I was confident of winning today as I had an edge over him in speed. I knew he would break if I attack constantly," said Kashyap.

Not happy
Anand, meanwhile, was not happy with his form and fitness. "The past few months have been very tough. My personal life (break-up with India's Jwala Gutta) and knee injury has taken a heavy toll. I could not recover on time. Kashyap was brilliant today," said 2006 Melbourne CWG bronze medallist.
