However, the custodian still made an impression by returning to score off the crucial final spot-kick to send his team through to the quarter-finals. DY Patil International beat Lilavatibai Podar 5-4 via tie-breaker after the scores were tied 1-1 at the end of regulation time.
Kanak Kabra opened the scoring for DY Patil in the 13th minute after which Archit Kovilingal got the equaliser to send the match into the tie-breaker. Kehan was replaced by midfielder Amaan Karachiwala in goal with the score reading 3-2 in favour of Lilavatibai Podar.
Vansh Mehta, Kanak, Dhruv Chawla and Prathamesh Mantri scored for the Worli side, while Ansh Jain, Pranav, Raunit Khanolkar and Archit were on target for Podar. With the score reading 4-4 after five penalties were taken, the sudden death was employed. Podar's Hrishikesh Lotlikar failed to scorer here, while Kehan converted his spot kick to spark off spontaneous celebrations.
