Police investigating the million-dollar theft at the home of Brian Lara, have recovered a significant amount of material from a woman who was employed by the West Indies batting legend.u00a0
"Officers seized more than 40 bottles of premium liquor, jewelry and four-autographed cricket bats from the woman's Cameron Hill, Maraval, home during a search on Wednesday night.
Investigators believe the items were stolen from Lara's home over a period of time," reported the Trinidad Guardian.
According to the police, a friend of Lara is the main suspect in the theft.
Around $500,000 in cash and $500,000 in jewelry were stolen from Lara's home on Tuesday night. This not the first theft at Lara's home, according to the newspaper. "Last October, thieves made off with $25,000 which was left in an envelope on a bed by Lara. The incident was never reported to police," the
report said.
