Miami Heats superstar LeBron James delighted after scoring 30th triple-double of his career Madison Square Garden brings out the best in LeBron James and the Miami star delivered again on the storied New York stage on Friday with the 30th triple-double of his NBA career. The Heat posted their 11th victory in a row, and James silenced jeering Knicks fans who let him know how disappointed they were that he opted for Miami rather than New York when departing Cleveland as a free agent. James was greeted with thunderous boos during pre-game intros and heavy boos each time he touched the ball in the first half. The Garden was as loud as it had been since the 1999 Finals and the game was perhaps the hottest ticket since that run.
Fans are back"It is good to see the fans here are back and they love the game of basketball," James said. "It's a great building. Dwyane [Wade] and I talk about it all the time. There's certainly buildings in the league you thrive in and get excited about." said James.
Knicks are tough
"The Knicks are a really good team. You know now you have to mentally prepare yourself to have a game plan because those guys are dangerous and D'Antoni puts them in position to be successful. There were times in the past the first few years you know you could come here and they wouldn't play as hard. The fans here are great. Very passionate, if you're not on their team, you [stink]," said James, as reported by the New York Post.
