London medal assured, say Narang and Mary Kom

Rifleu00a0shooting ace Gagan Narang and five-time women's world boxing champion M C Mary Kom are confident of success at the 2012 London Olympics.

"I am confident of grabbing a medal at the Olympics. With the Indian crowd backing me there is very little chance of missing my target," said Narang, at a felicitation ceremony held in Mumbai yesterday.



Narang went on to explain why India performed poorly at the Asian Games.u00a0 "Commonwealth Games was easier compared to the Asian Games. A lot was expected from our athletes after their excellent showing at the CWG, but unfortunately most could not deliver at the Asiad," said Narang.

Women's boxing champion Mary Kom too had a similar opinion. "I am confident of fulfilling every Indian's dream by winning gold at the 2012 London Olympics."
