Greater Mumbai's Darus Nader, a newcomer in the men's singles, put on an all-round game to outwit Mumbai suburbs' Jagtap Nanavati to sail into men's singles Last-32 in the Maharashtra Open badminton tournament at DY Patil Stadium's badminton courts yesterday.
Both fought tooth and nail, but Jagtap appeared to lose steam as Daras kept him at the baseline with some fast-paced rallies punctuated with some stinging smashes on his body to romp home to a 30-19 win.
