Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Vesnina in mixed doubles final

Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Vesnina of Russia clinched a 6-2 3-6 7-5 win against Australian Paul Hanley and Chinese Taipei's Su-Wei Hsieh in mixed doubles to enter final of the Wimbledon. The three setter saw the Indo-Russian pair sweat it out for close to two hours.

Bhupathi-Vesnina committed too many unforced errors in the first set but they managed to saved two of the five break points before winning it 6-2. However, Hanley and Hsieh made a come back in the second set and won it 6-3.

But it was the decider, which saw Bhupathi and Elena get jittery as the Australian-Chinese Taipei pair broke them in the third game to lead 2-1. But the Indo-Russian pair broke back and held their serve to go up by 3-2.

But Indo-Russian pair had kept their best for the final moments and after a long rally of points, with both holding on to their serves, the winners broke their rivals in their last serve to book a berth in the championship final.
