Women's top seed Saumya Karki and Men's Open second seed Mahesh Mangaonkar stormed into the finals of the Rs 8 lakh Otters Open Squash Tournament, at the Otters Club, Bandra yesterday. Mumbai lad Mangaonkar beat third seed Gaurav Nandrajog of Delhi 3-1 after dropping the opening set, to set up a title clash with top seed and defending champion Harinderpal Singh Sandhu who overcame No 5 Abhishek Pradhan in straight sets.
Karki, who earned a double in the last edition, moved one step closer to retaining the women's crown with an 11-8, 11-9, 11-4 win over fourth seed Dr Deepali Parekh in a tight contest.
