McLaren not fast enough to win pole: Lewis

Lewis Hamilton admitted yesterday that he and McLaren were at least one second slower than their main rivals and had no chance of taking pole position for this weekend's German Grand Prix.

"We can't challenge for pole tomorrow, at least that is what it seems from today," said Hamilton.

"In pure pace in qualifying, we don't have the pace to run with them (Red Bull or Ferrari) ufffd over a single lap they definitely have about a second on us," he added.
