UEFA president Michel Platini has offered his support to Lord Triesman, who resigned as chairman of the FA and England's 2018 WC bid after secret recordings alleged he told a friend that Spain would support Russia's bid for the 2018 WC in return for help bribe referees in South Africa.
"I want to support my friend Triesman in this big problem," said Platini adding that the issue could have harmed England's WC bid.
