The cream of the world's finest squash players will be in Mumbai to do battle for the newly incepted PSA Platinum Event u2013 The Punj Lloyd PSA Masters 2009.
The format has similarities with the Grand Slam Cup in the Tennis World where the top players in the world based on their ranking points qualify for the season-ending Masters Event. In this case, the top 32 ranked players in the world make up the field.
Ivy Sports' Raj Arora and Ritwik Bhattacharya will organise the tournament which could become a major event on the international squash calendar.
Punj Lloyd, a new entrant in the squash world has raised the bar to back the country's largest tournament.
Platinum events are the highest graded tournaments on the PSA calendar.u00a0 Squash lovers in Mumbai and the rest of the country will be treated to a bonanza of world-class competition over six days from December 5 to 10 at the Bombay Gymkhana.
