Mahindra NBA Challenge Mumbai finished their eight-week league successfully at the St Dominic Savio School, Andheri on Saturday.
The league has been launched to promote and develop basketball at the grass root level in India.
The league which kicked off in April with 94 teams saw the Denver Nuggets crowned champions beating LA Lakers in the final.
Troy Justice, NBA Director of Basketball Operations, India revealed plans to expand in the next year.
"We will try to have the league not only at Mastan YMCA and St Domnico Savio but also in different parts of Mumbai in the following year," he said.
