National taekwondo honours for MTA

Mumbai Taekwondo Academy (MTA) claimed top honours by winning the overall team championship in the inaugural Mumbai Consul General Cup National Taekwondo Championship at the Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex, Dharavi yesterday


Mumbai Taekwondo Academy (MTA) claimed top honours by winning the overall team championship in the inaugural Mumbai Consul General Cup National Taekwondo Championship at the Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex, Dharavi yesterday.


Representatives of the taekwondo teams which finished in Top 5 positions pose with their trophies in Dharavi yesterday

Favourites MTA finished with a cumulative tally of 76 medals (39 gold, 17 silver, 20 bronze) and with 433 points clinched the first position. They enjoyed a solid 40 points lead over second-placed Delhi Taekwondo Academy, who finished with a total of 393 points (37 gold, 18 silver, 8 bronze).
