LA Galaxy have decided not to take any action against David Beckham, who confronted a supporter who heckled him after Friday's loss to the NY Red Bulls, the club said yesterday. The former England captain approached the fan saying "Say it to my face" after the fan taunted him about allegations Beckham had sex with prostitutes.
The incident, caught on camera, took place under the stands in the tunnel area near the Galaxy dressing room. "We have reviewed the incident internally and determined that no action is required," said Patrick Donnelly, LA Galaxy's communications director. The fan yelled "stop with the prostitutes", prompting an angry Beckham to turn around before responding "Do you want to say it again? Want to say it again? You got a Galaxy shirt on."
