During his 6-4, 6-4 victory, Djokovic complained to the umpire about the smell of marijuana smoke. After the match he addressed the issue, which he said had distracted him in a prior match as well. "Oh my God," Djokovic said. "You can't believe how bad it was. Whoever it is, he's pretty high. I hope he doesn't come back tomorrow, it's a pretty bad smell. I didn't enjoy it."
The Serb said later that the same thing happened in a Friday doubles win. "Yesterday in the doubles match, today again. Somebody's really enjoying his life around the tennis court. Whoever it was.... he was probably on the seventh sky. I felt I was playing better as I was inhaling." Djokovic advanced in 80 minutes. taking his 52nd match of the season against just three defeats.
