The response from Mumbai to the seventh edition of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, to be held on January 17, 2010, has broken all records, with all races oversubscribed within two weeks of opening, according to event promoters Procam International.
While the spots for the Dream Run filled up within a week of the registrations opening on July 9, the half marathon and full marathon have also been oversubscribed.
However, there is still a window of opportunity for those who have missed the bus to be a part of this sporting and social extravaganza and also raise money for charity.
The promoters of the event have come up with the initiative 'Special Charity Numbers', where few 'Dream Run' running numbers will be available at a premium and the proceeds, less the entry and administration fees, going towards the chosen charity.
