Hyderabad: It took Scotland's Stephen Maguire a little over three and a half hours to knock crowd favourite Pankaj Advani out of the Indian Open world ranking snooker tournament here yesterday.

Down 3-1, Advani came back strongly to level at 3-3 in the best of seven frames Round 2 clash.

The final frame went on for more than an hour, both players refusing to give up, but the Englishman ultimately prevailed 4-3.
