Mahesh Mangaonkar and Saumya Karki have been given pride of place among the boys and girls under-19 and are among the top juniors of the country who will vie for top honors in the Rs 2,69,000 prize money All India Little Masters junior squash to be played at Willingdon Sports Club squash courts from January 12 to 16


Mahesh Mangaonkar and Saumya Karki have been given pride of place among the boys and girls under-19 and are among the top juniors of the country who will vie for top honors in the Rs 2,69,000 prize money All India Little Masters junior squash to be played at Willingdon Sports Club squash courts from January 12 to 16.

Mangaonkar, the former u-15, British Open Champion was the u-17 top seed in the British Open tournament on currently. The event, which is in its 17th year, has received a record number of 275 entries.

The categories which the tournament has been divided into are: Boys under-19, under-17, under-15, under-13, under-11 and girls under-19, under-15, under-13 and under-11. The organisers have decided to have an event, like last year, for the under-9 boys and girls.

The winner of the under-19 boys event will stand to gain R 40,000, while the runner-up will get R 20,000. In the girls section the under-19 winner will get R 25,000, while the runner-up will get Rs 12,500.
