In his fifth and penultimate attempt, national record holder Maheshwari leapt 16.85m to beat the old meet record of 16.72m which he created in 2007. ONGC's Arpinder Singh (16.20m) won the silver, while Tamil Nadu's Raja Sekar bagged bronze (15.79m).
