Opting to bat after winning the toss, Rizvi ended the day with a mammoth 348-5 thanks to the 169-run partnership for the third wicket between Prithvi and Armaan Jaffer (81 runs). Though yesterday's knock was his highest score in the tournament, Prithvi is disappointed to miss on his maiden double ton.
"I was a little tense afteru00a0 Armaan got out because there were not many batsmen left to accompany me. I stopped playing aggressive shots after Armaan got out. "My aim was to score a double hundred, but I
was unfortunate," Prithvi lamented.
For V N Sule, Herambha Parab was the standout bowler, taking 3-95 that included the big wicket of Prithvi.
Earlier, VN Sule's pacer Shubham Sawant managed to get breakthrough but the second wicket partnership for 64 runs between Prithvi and Siddharth Singh (26) helped Rizvi steady their innings.
Rizvi suffered a major blow when in-form batsman Armaan was run out in the 56th over. "I was unable to hear Prithvi's call properly," said Armaan.
Thereafter, Prithvi consolidated from one end to put Rizvi in command.
