The two Englishmen were competing in the $3.2 million Ballantine's Championship at the Blackstone Golf Club near Seoul. Poulter missed the cut after a dire second round that included three bogeys and a double bogey, but the happy scenes at Westminster Abbey seemed to cheer him up.

"Just watching the royal wedding on CNN it's pretty amazing. Kate is looking great and people are out to support," he wrote on his Twitter page. World No 1 Westwood fared rather better on the course yesterday and lay six shots off the lead going into the weekend. "68 today. Played well. Now off back to the room to put CNN on and my morning suit! I love a good wedding!" he tweeted.

Australian Brett Rumford led the tournament by three shots after shooting a superb nine-under-par second round of 63. Kapur, Bhullar shine Shiv Kapur and Gaganjeet Bhullar were the only Indian golfers to make the cut, and four others missed the weekend cut after the second round. Jeev Milkha Singh, SSPu00a0u00a0 Chowrasia, Anirban Lahiri and Jyoti Randhawa missed the cut.
