Mumbai School Sports Association-selected under-16 team are on their way to participate in an inter-school tournament
Thirteen youngsters armed with hockey sticks are off to conquer Berlin, Germany. Na, don't get too serious. The Under-16 hockey team, comprising players from various hockey-playing schools are leaving for Germany on June 24 to participate in an inter-school tournament.
The tournament - organised by Berlin Sports Club -u00a0 is expecting 500 teams from all over Germany to take part. The winner of the tournament will then play against Mumbai School Sports Association selected players.
In all 16 students were selected to take part, but only 13 had passport and so only they can fly for the tournament. "The parents of those without passport are running to get it made by today. Visa is not a problem. If they manage to get their passport made, they too will fly with us on Thursday," said coach N Chandrashekhar.
