Bombay Scottish (Mahim) were up and running in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association boys' under-16 inter-school football tournament yesterday. They put up an impressive show in their opening match of the Super League with striker Nipun Chauhan finding the net in each half to ensure a 2-0 victory over St Francis D'Assisi (Borivli).

Nipun, who has seven goals under his belt in five games, has set himself a target of 50 goals this season that includes six tournaments. "There are enough tournaments. If I get around 10 goals in each, 50 can be achieved," said Nipun.

The 15-year-old also sounded extremely optimistic of his side's chances of clinching the title after an exciting opener yesterday. "We got a good bunch of players and many of us are playing for our school for the last time. So we intend to give it our all," added a buoyant Chauhan.
