The top 10 finish that seemed a certainty slipped through the fingers and Jeev Milkha Singh went four-over 75 in his penultimate round to slip to tied 52nd in the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open golf tournament here.
Beginning the day just three shots off lead and with a share of the 11th place, Jeev went on to turn in his worst round of the week to tumble down the leaderboard after his unflattering 56-hole total of six-under 207 in the USD 4.2 million event.
Jeev parred the first three holes and had no idea of the impending disaster. He bogeyed the next three before snapping the streak with the seventh hole birdie, his first in the front nine, before dropping one more stroke on the ninth.
On his way back, Jeev birdied the 11th and 15th but dropped a shot on the 13th as well before signing off on a bogey-bogey note to slip down the chart. Indian-born Swede Daniel Chopra was tied 63rd at four-under 209.
