Shillong: India's men and women shuttlers entered the semi-finals dismissing their respective opponents at the 12th South Asian Games yesterday.

The Indian men shuttlers set up a semi-final clash with Pakistan, while the women's side will take on Bangladesh.

Indian women's team, comprising PV Sindhu, Ruthvika Shivani, Ashwani Ponnappa, PC Thulasi, K Maneesha and Sikki Reddy, raced to a 3-0 win over lowly-ranked Nepal, who hardly put up a fight.

Sindhu launched the proceedings for India beating Sara Devi Tamang 21-2, 21-8. Shivani then went past her rival 21-6, 21-2 in the second game. Sindhu and Ponnappa then cruised to a 21-10, 21-8 win in the doubles.

Later, the Indian men beat Afghanistan 3-0 to enter the semis.
