The Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) Ltd dishes out a small card that has only seven races on show today. There is something drastically wrong with the racing department of RWITC if they falter in offering a decent card on only the sixth day of the season!
On the positive side, six of the seven races are extremely well-filled, however the one that is not, and has only seven runners in the fray, may turn out to be the trickiest race of the afternoon.
That's the Governor's Cup, a contest for three-year-old maiden horses over 1,400 meters, which is slated as feature of the day.
Track Thunder may open as the top market fancy for this race, followed by Rapael and River Dragon. But it would be foolish to ignore the chances of two more horses the Narendra Lagad-trained Forward Charge and Pesi Shroff-trained Spellbinder.
In fact, it's the last-named who will definitely be a value-for-money proposition as an each way bet.
First race at 2.30 pm.
