But they made a great comeback by registering a 2-1 win over St Peter's High School (Mazagaon) to reach the quarter finals in the U-16 Div IV tie held at Azad Maidan yesterday.
It was the change of guard that helped the children participating in the event. Arvind Raj and Rahul Unnithan scored for the Xaverians while Shahi Arbaz scored for St Peter's.
Arvind has been outstanding and is the highest scorer in the Div IV with 13 goals against his name in five matches. "I want to score more goals and see my team lift the title this year," said Arvind (15), a Class X student.
