Teenaged Indian Visakh NR shocked Tajikistan Grandmaster Farrukh Amonatov in a five-hour marathon to join compatriot GM Diptayan Ghosh at the top of the leaderboard at the end of the 9th round of the Mumbai Mayor chess tournament yesterday.

Visakh and Ghosh, who drew with Russian GM Boris Grachev, had 7.5 points apiece and were hotly pursued by four players sharing the second spot. While Graschev, and Indian IMs Girish Koushik and Vikramaditya Kulkarni where half a point behind.
