Tiger Woods not to return to golf soon, says caddie Steve Williams

Tiger Woods' long-time caddie Steve Williams has categorically denied that the troubled golfer was returning to competition at the WGC-Accenture World Matchplay Championship from February 17.

"The stories stating Tiger (Woods) will return at the matchplay have no truth to them," Williams was quoted by the Sydney Morning Herald.

Also, appearing for the matchplay event would be an incredibly magnanimous gesture given Accenture was one of the first sponsors to dump him, but there seems little doubt the time is right.u00a0
