The tournament, organised by the Dr Prakash Vaze Sports Foundation, saw over 50 teams comprising of four players each battle it out for top honours.
It was a fine day for the Thane-based Tilak Academy that saw their U-14 team win the fourth place and cash award of Rs 1200 besides their U-12 and U-8 teams winning the category winner's prize and board number two prize respectively.
Former Mumbai University chess champion, Charuhas Joshi was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.u00a0
