Two city shuttlers to train under Prakash Padukone

City shuttlers Simran Singhi (11) and Rahul Vyas (12) will get a chance to undergo training for two weeks at Prakash Padukone's academy, after winning a talent hunt event


Padukone, in association with Tata Capital, had launched a talent hunt for children between eight and 12 years of age at five gymkhanas, with a two-day tournament that culminated yesterday.

Singhi defeated Jhanvi Jagtap 21-9, 21-3 in the girls' final. Meanwhile, Rahul Vyas beat Vir Diwanji 21-7, 21-15 in the boys final.

The event was conducted from May 27 to June 7 to identify players with potential for the two-day tournament at the Cricket Club of India.
