Sushrut Karmarkar scored a stunning straight games win over top seed Arjit Bose to make his maiden men's singles final in the Li-NING-JVPGC Suburban District badminton championships, hosted by Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana Club. The collegian notched up a 21-17, 21-9 win and now takes on second seed Amit Kshatriya in the title clash. Amit beat Murli Subramanium 21-11, 21-17 in the other semi-final.
