The six-feet-tall statue, ordered by the Birmingham City Council and made of wicker, a hard woven fiber, shows the five-time World and three-time Olympic gold medallist Jamaican runner raising his right arm - even though the sprinter, based in Birmingham, always lifts his left, The Sun reported.

Unfazed by the criticism, the council, however, said: "Next you'll say the face doesn't look like him."
