Somdev Devvarman didn't get a chance to play German Rainer Schuettler last year at the Chennai Open.
Schuettler was favourite to win the semi-final but had to withdraw due to a wrist injury and now has a chance to make up for last year as the two will clash in the first round tomorrow.
After winning his doubles match with Sanam Singh, Devvarman is expecting an extremely difficult encounter against the veteran.
"He is a very tough customer. A very dangerous player with big shots. I will have to be at my best against him. I will hope to carry my doubles form into my singles match," opined the India No.1
The best part is Schuettler had no idea he was playing Devvarman.
"I am playing some Indian guy," he remarked. When told that it was Devvarman he said, "Oh is that so."
