London: Roger Federer racked up his 150th tour-level win on grass as the World No 3 crushed Britain's Daniel Evans 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 in the Wimbledon third round on Friday. Third seed Federer, bidding for a record eighth Wimbledon title, will face Steve Johnson of the United States who beat Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov 6-7, 7-6, 6-4, 6-2 for a place in the quarter-finals.

The 17-time Grand Slam champion has yet to drop a set in this year's tournament. Federer, beaten in the last two Wimbledon finals by Djokovic, has been aided by a generous draw that pitted him against two lowly Brits in world number 772 Marcus Willis and then world number 91 Evans.

"I was extremely pleased with how I played. I didn't make the draw but it's been fun playing against Marcus and now Dan," said Federer.
