Bulgarian tennis ace Grigor Dimitrov has been at the receiving end of many sour break-ups. He was linked to American tennis great Serena Williams in early 2012 and Maria Sharapova later that year, where the duo enjoyed a two-year romance. Dimitrov has learnt from his mistakes of making his relationship public, and now wants to ensure every moment with current girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger is spent in private.

"I say that it's easy to be lost in beauty, but is it a mistake? Today with Nicole, my current girlfriend, I am careful about my privacy. I don't want to repeat any past mistakes," Dimitrov told Italian newspaper La Repubblica recently. Did his personal life affect how he was perceived by the world? "I think I was misunderstood. Not knowing me, people had a wrong idea. Of course, there were tough moments where I wasn't surrounded by right people," he added.
